The end of February usually brings with it thoughts of Spring and slightly warmer temperatures however, in the unpredictable nature of this winter, the weather continues to surprise us with a ‘white Easter’ seemingly ahead of us!

A phenomenon known as ‘Sudden Stratospheric Warming’ could possibly lead to polar temperatures hitting the UK over the bank holiday weekend. A ‘Sudden Stratospheric Warming’ happens when high that is high over the North Pole warms and pushes cold Arctic temperatures down towards Britain leading to a plunge in the temperature for up to two weeks!

Predictions by the Met Office also say that March will have a higher than average rainfall and this might even become snow as it falls in colder areas. A ‘Sudden Stratospheric Warming’ has made temperatures fall as low as -18.4C in Scotland in 2009!

So keep those Heat Holders out for another few weeks just in case the snow decides to fall this Easter!
