Today’s date marks the beginning of the camping month, and as promised here at Heat Holders we have put together a list of our favourite UK camping hotspots.

We will be revealing one a week for 4 weeks, so whether you seek a coastal view or want to get stuck into the woodland way of living, we will help you choose the right destination.

We start our camping journey on the south coast of England at Burnbake Campsite in Dorset. Surrounded by woodland and with plenty of attractions just a stone’s throw away, this family friendly site is ideally situated to keep the little ones entertained.

Why not take a picnic and explore the ruins of Corfe Castle, built by William the Conqueror it is steeped in history. For a truly breathtaking experience of the castle, gather the family together, grab a flask of hot chocolate and find a great spot to watch the sunset/sunrise over the village below.

If you have checked out the weather forecast for June and have spotted a weekend of glorious sunshine then Burnbake Campsite’s close proximity to the iconic Jurassic Coast is perfect for watching the kids splash around in the bright blue waters while you soak up the sun on the golden sands.

The woodland that hugs the campsite itself provides hours of fun for the family. Create your own wildlife spotting trail for the kids, pack your bikes and explore the woodland on wheels or even try your dab hand at building dens for a relaxed day without straying too far from the campsite.

The campsite is a ’turn up and pitch’ site only for tents and campervans (no caravans) and has a number of on-site facilities including: a well-stocked shop, toilet/shower block, baby changing and wash room, as well as drinking water points and 4 electric hook up points to ensure your stay is as comfortable and convenient as possible.

Keep an eye out for next week’s camping location – this one is perfect for couples!
