The last couple of weeks has seen Britain’s river banks bursting causing flooding across a large proportion of the south. Along with the continuing rain fall, this weekend looks set to bring a flurry of snow to most of the north of Britain – Durham has already been blanketed by snow overnight.

Flood defences protected over 22,000 homes in December but a large amount were still left open to elements.

Don’t let the weather bring you down - if you’re out and about this weekend be sure to stay layered in your thermals to keep you warm and cosy.
