It’s that time of year again when everyone goes crazy for the Great British Bake off. We’re not sure if it’s the fact that Britain has a huge cake obsession or whether they’re just infatuated by the Victoria Sponge Queen, Mary Berry (who maintains sophisticated as ever)! Maybe it’s both!

Either way, GBBO has the ability to make the nation talk about the show non-stop, it brings a positive British vibe and reminds us of all the things our country is good for. Typically, us Brits are known for drinking tea and having something sweet to go with it and baking is definitely in there somewhere too! There are certainly worse things to be recognized for!

The show allows contestants to battle it out for the title of ‘UK’s Best Amateur Baker’ over a 10 week period. Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood will be captivated by their favourite baker each week and will provide their constructive criticisms for contestants to improve on.

You’ll find the Great British Bake Off at 8pm on Wednesdays on BBC1. The winner will be announced just as the summer season is coming to an end, but at least we’ll have our Heat Holders Snuggle Ups or Snugovers to keep us warm in the colder months!
