There’s no denying that pumpkins have now become synonymous with October and while many people use the pumpkin for Halloween traditions, there are many other things you can do with a pumpkin and with National Pumpkin Day set to take place on October 26th, here are our top three:

1. Bake
There are many traditional dishes that you can make with your pumpkin such as pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup but here at Heat Holders we like to think outside the box. Why not try out pumpkin risotto or pumpkin waffles? As well as being delicious, they can also help you get into the mood for Halloween.

2. Get creative
Not only are pumpkins great for a perfect Instagram picture but you can also get creative in other ways such as making your own candles or creating a beautiful centre piece. However, if you want to stick to the traditional pumpkin carving, then why not try going for a brand-new design? There are plenty of ideas online if you need some inspiration!

3. Have a pamper evening
If you’ve heard of using an avocado or honey for a facemask, then you might not be too shocked to find out that you can do the same with pumpkin. Pumpkins are actually packed with vitamins that rejuvenate the skin, so it would be perfect for those of you who suffer from flaky skin in the winter time or have acne scars. Throw on a pair of our Heat Holders lounge socks and make a facemask!
