February is Raynaud’s Awareness month, the often-forgotten condition that affects ten million people within the UK. The Raynaud’s & Scleroderma Association (RSA) work hard all year round to bring it to the national consciousness, but the coldest month of the year is where those who are affected by the phenomenon strive to keep their extremities warm.

Many people report the problem in their fingers or toes, although the symptoms can be found anywhere on the body, and the feeling of pain and numbness can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.

We at Heat Holders have endeavoured to fight the cold since our establishment in 2008, expanding our range to include hats, scarves, gloves, thermal underwear as well as our market-leading socks. It was, therefore, an easy choice to become a proud supporter of the RSA, and this year the #raiseyourhands campaign will be in use to provide information on Raynaud’s.
