This story will warm the cockles of your heart ahead of Father’s Day on Sunday… superhero’s do exist in the form of our dads everywhere!

One little boy’s dad will certainly take some beating. Jayden had always been a massive fan of the marvel comic hero, Spiderman. However, he was sadly diagnosed with a severe brain tumour after his 4th birthday in 2013. As a surprise treat for his 5th birthday, his doting father Mike Wilson decided to make it an extra special day by becoming his son’s replica Spider-Man at his birthday party.

The Amazing SpiderDad arrived in web-tastic style, jumping off his own roof in a spectacular jump and landing in the iconic Spiderman pose before his son’s amazed eyes! The moment was captured on camera and has been watched over 10 million times. Take a look at the video here:

Jayden tragically passed away in November 2014 but the legacy of Mike’s kind act of love has since gone on to be viral across the world. Mike has gone on to fundraise for the Hope From Jayden Campaign which aims to inspire families in similar difficult situations everywhere. All donations go to The Naomi House & Jacksplace hospice, which provided expert care for Jayden and supports children with life-limiting diseases.
