What is TOG?

TOG stands for Thermal Overall Grade. It is an independent laboratory test that measures the thermal resistance of a product - essentially how well a material can keep you warm.

What's more.... all TOG ratings are conducted under independent laboratory conditions according to British Standard 4745 two plate method for thermal TOG ratings.

The higher the TOG rating, the greater the level of insulation, and the warmer you'll be!

Our super-warm Dual Layer socks are the warmest socks we produce. Using our unique manufacturing process, we put two Heat Holders Lite socks inside each other and bind them to achieve twice the thermal loops, twice the thermal brushing... and twice as much heat! It all adds up to a TOG rating of 3.1, which makes Dual Layer even warmer than our Original socks and over eight times warmer than a basic cotton sock.
