Elasticated arch and ankle supports provide a perfect fit and help prevent the socks from bunching down inside your wellingtons, while a wonderfully soft and cosy turnover top brightens up even the dullest boots with a splash of colour!

Not suitable for me!

Although initially thrilled with how lovely and warm these socks are, worn and washed every day for ten days, I find as they are acrylic the skin on my feet has become very rough almost as if they are covered with tiny cuts.
Sadly they will either be worn as bed socks or given to the jumble sale.

We are sorry to hear that you have experienced rough skin while wearing our Ladies Original Wellington Boot Socks. This is not something we have come across before as all our items are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 tested, ensuring they are free from harmful substances.

Due to the extensive brushing technic used to create our unique plush lining there can on occasions be a few loose fibres inside the socks, but these are not harmful and should easily wash away as they are not an integral part of the sock.

Mixed feelings

Cosy and good looking socks but when not folded over boots, they fall down all the time so it means my legs are constantly cold unless I can pull them up.
Not sure I would bother buying them again

Lovely soft and warm

Bought these for winter as I find them the warmest you can get. Just bear in mind they are very thick so whatever you wear if fills your shoe or boot.

These are the most comfortable and warmest socks ever . I went to Lapland where the temp was -35 and my feet were warm and cosy . I would recommend them to anyone going anywhere cold or just to wear at home in the

As far as we know and based on all the tests carried out so far, Heat Holders socks are indeed the warmest thermal socks in the world.

What is a TOG rating?

TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) is an independent laboratory-tested standard for insulation. The higher the TOG rating, the better the product is at keeping you warm. You’ll see TOG ratings applied to duvets and babywear, as well as thermal clothing like Heat Holders.

How warm are Heat Holders Original socks?

As far as we know and have ever tested, all three weights of Heat Holders socks (Original, Lite and Ultra Lite) are the warmest thermal socks in their respective weight/thickness categories.

Our Original socks have a TOG of 2.3, which is 7 x warmer than a basic cotton sock.

We also have our Original Wool socks, with a TOG of 2.7 and our Original Merino Wool socks, with a TOG of 2.9.
